Lebert Constantine Green
March 30th, 1954 - November 3rd, 2021
March 30th, 1954 - November 3rd, 2021
Lebert Constantine Green, was born the 7th of 10 children, to the late William and Iris Green on March 30th, 1954 in Clarendon, Jamaica. He attended Kellits All Age School, where he was very successful in his educational endeavors. After finishing school, he migrated to Kingston, where he worked in the prison system, as a Warden for a number of years. In November 1979, he relocated to the United States, striving to make a better life for himself and his family. He later continued his career as a Correctional Officer in the New York prison system, at Rikers Island, from which he retired after 23 years. He continued to stay active after retirement and continued working at Phelps Hospital, where he quickly came to be favored and respected, amongst the staff and patients. He married Wallycinth ‘Cinth’ Clarke in January of 1981 and soon after they joined Trinity Baptist Church of the Bronx, NY where they were baptized together. After this, they built a wonderful life, centered around God, family and love.Deacon Green was well known, endeared and highly thought of by all who knew him. He was a ‘Jack of all trades’ and was successful at anything he put his hands to. His love for his wife and family was unprecedented, as he consistently gave his all to them but his faith and love for God was the most important thing and the center of his life. He would often say, after your love for God and your relationship with Him, family is the absolute most important thing. As a result of his tender heart, generous and admonishing spirit, pleasant and light hearted personality and his life lived as a great example of the walk of faith in Christ Jesus, Lebert was loved by many. His God-fearing life was a beautiful testament to many and his influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.On November 3rd, Lebert made his heavenly transition, where he is now walking the streets of gold, with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers (William II, Clifford, Kelly and Dwayne) and a sister, Bernice. The memory, legacy and God-centered life of “Lee”, will forever be alive in the lives and heart of his most cherished wife, Wallycinth ‘Cinth’, 8 beloved children: Mikey, Christopher, Ahmed, Ronald, Dwayne, George, Matthew and Linnea, 27 devoted grandchildren and a loving host of adored relatives and dear friends.
