Ten Dye grandchildren. First my brother Jack followed by nine girls. Grandpa and Grandma said it was easy to pick their favorite grandson but a granddaughter was a bit harder. Remember spending many days playing dress up, wearing Grandma's long black dress, silver mesh purse with a chain handle and a long black feather boa. Chicken feather were all over the house. Remember all the wonderful dinners and good food. At Christmas, the girls had to wash up the dishes before we were allowed to open presents. Some of the adult, grumbled a little when we tried to take their plate before they finished eating. We (4 oldest) slept in one bed, two at the top and two at the bottom until we grew to the point our feet were in the others faces. We rode a million miles on that old buggy sitting by the old shed. When we started our ride it still had a top with fringe and as time passed all that was left was a pile of rotten boards and the buggy seat. Wonder how many cherries we ate from the cherry tree by the cellar? Just walk up the cellar and eat from the tree. I have yet to find a cherry as sweet as those from the cellar top. Time passes, we go off in different directions to our own lives. You didn't alway have it easy but through the good and not so good, you were a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to so many. Throughout the years, we have also never lost that feeling of family, best friends and cousins as close as sisters. LeAnn, we didn't get to say goodbye but perhaps that good because we wouldn't have been able to say the words. It's not goodbye, it's see you later, hug our family in Heaven and hope to see you again in a better place. Rest high, does Heaven have a cellar top? Gee I sure wish Heaven had cell service. Cousin, Betty Sue
