On Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020 Larry Hinds, loving father of his 2 children passed away at the age of 72.  Larry was born January 22, 1948 in Embudo NM & was adopted by Gladys & Van Hinds of Taos, NM.  A semester shy of completing his Bachelor’s degree in business, he moved home to help run the family Business, Taos Moccasin Factory when the manger unexpectedly quit.  Larry had a passion for life & a love for Taos.  He is a proud Veteran who served in the Navy of Vietnam. Owner of Hinds & Hinds Storage, he was a successful businessman with a love for vintage treasures, old cars, fast cars & original artwork.  Dog lover, amazing father, friend, son & brother, Larry was a humble man with a huge heart and giving spirit. Just like his daughter Lindsay, he is remembered for his sense of humor, laugh & light heartedness. He will be missed by many and never forgotten.  Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Lindsay Hinds (24), his mother, Gladys Hinds and his father, Van Hinds.  He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Hinds, his sister, Mary Powell, his niece, nephew & his five cousins.

I am so sorry to read of Larry’s passing in the Taos News just now. I considered myself fortunate and lucky to have lived at Larry’s oasis “Rainbow Ranch” 1991-2000. I remember him as kind, generous, and funny. The girls were quite young then but you could tell he loved being their dad. Rachel, you have no reason to remember me. I loved watching you and Lindsay race around in your toy vehicles. I am so sorry for your loss.
