Pastor Washington was about the business of the Lord. He is remembered as a wonderful friend, a caring husband and father; a cousin that stood with me. He was my family.

Thanking God for the precious life of Rev. Dr. Lanxton Washington! He was always loving and supporting. Praising God for his legacy of kindness, friendship, and family as a "cousin."

Someone asked me what was something of my dads that I will treasure. It’s this picture of this handsome young man! Just looking at his face and into his eyes, there was so much pride in serving his country and wearing that uniform. I believe my dad was probably always a leader, but his military experience made him who he was and I loved him for all he taught me... even when I didn’t want to clean my room or make my bed. It was a big deal for my father to serve as a platoon leader and rank as a Captain as a black man in the sixties. I love him. I love this picture. I will always treasure it.

Rev. Lanxton was a manger and technician, and those qualities made him a loving and caring minister. He helped many younger ministers navigate the conference network and parishioners to offer ther help to the Church willingly. Rest my Friend!
