Kourtney Key

Kourtney Key, 20, of Richardson, TX, passed away on June 7, 2021 due to injuries sustained after a car accident. Kourtney was born on September 26, 2000 and adopted by her parents Joseph and Nell Key when she was 3 months old. Kourtney was passionate about helping children and was attending UT Dallas with the goal of being a Pediatrician. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Children's Medical Center of Dallas and participating in the big sister program. Kourtney is survived by her parents, Joseph and Nell Key of Desoto, TX; her sisters Antoinette Paul of Houston, TX and Olga Guidry of Lake Charles, La.; her aunt Marva Butler (Felton) of Dallas, TX. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Joseph Key, Sr. and her grandmother Marie Key both of Lake Charles, La on her father's side and her grandfather Jessie Ingram of Nacogdoches, TX. In keeping with Kourtney's loving and generous spirit, it was her decision to donate life so that others may live. It was her desire that when she passed on, if she could help improve or even save someone's life by organ/body donation, we would honor and resped her wishes. We, as a family, are comforted in our loss knowing that countless others have been given a second chance thanks to her precious gift. At Kourtney's request, her body will be donated to Anatomy Gifts Registry and she is also registered with Donate Life Texas for organ and tissue donation. We also have an online memorial for her, and we provided that website address for those who wished to share their memories of her and pass on their condolences.
