Kevin Freije Motley

 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kevin Freije Motley, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who left us on May 10, 2026, at the age of 52. Born on July 1, 1973, in San Antonio, Texas, Kevin was a man of remarkable character, known for his kindness, generosity, and infectious sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew him. Kevin is survived by his devoted wife, Anne Motley; his loving mother, Judith Motley; his cherished son, Evan Motley; and his stepsons, Christopher Gimeson and Thaddeus Crum. He was predeceased by his father, James Motley, and his stepson, Nicholas Crum. Kevin’s family was the cornerstone of his life, and he took immense pride in the stories he shared, often captivating everyone with tales that lovingly featured his wife and children. Residing in Bastrop, Texas, Kevin enjoyed a rich tapestry of interests, particularly in anime, fantasy, and science fiction films. He possessed a unique affinity for animals, especially cats, whom he adored beyond measure. His generous spirit extended beyond his family; he was a loyal friend to many and a person whose honesty and humor left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. A memorial service to honor Kevin's life will be held on Saturday, June 6th, at 2 PM at Providence Funeral Home, located at 2079 Highway 71 East, Bastrop, Texas 78602. The family welcomes flowers to be sent to the funeral home and encourages donations to the Austin Siamese Rescue (https://www.austinsiameserescue.org) in his memory. Kevin Freije Motley will be remembered not just for the laughter he inspired, but for the love and kindness he radiated. He will forever be in the hearts of his family and friends.
