Kevin Daniel Grubb

November 18th, 1968 - February 9th, 2021

November 18th, 1968 - February 9th, 2021

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter e. e. cummings Kevin Daniel Grubb brought joy and laughter to the lives of everyone he came in contact with. Kevin never met a stranger and had a wicked sense of humor. He took pride in making his wife laugh often each day. He loved all animals, especially Shiba Inus, and was the best doggie daddy. Kevin was full of love and tried to make life a series of fun adventures. He loved music (except country), travel, Pittsburgh Penguins and Colorado Avalanche hockey and University of Georgia football. A native Georgian (born in DeKalb County), Kevin also loved his adopted home state of Colorado and very much enjoyed working in the medical marijuana industry. After emergency surgery, Kevin unexpectedly passed away with his wife, Jami Leichliter of Arvada, Colorado, by his side on February 9, 2021 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Daniel T. Grubb, and his pups Muffin, Jordan, Dylan, Duke and Ginger. Kevin is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Grubb (Cavender) of Stone Mountain, GA and his sister and brother-in-law's family of Cumming, GA: Kelly (Grubb) and Ricky Mosley and their children Ashley, Patrick and Lindsay. He also leaves behind his beloved Shiba Inus, Katie and Kuma.

What can I say about Kevin that everyone who met him doesn't already know. He was a genuinely good man, and a truly caring and compassionate friend. I admired Kevin as a person who humorously, positively and profoundly touched the lives of so many, so effortlessly. I recall my experiences with Kevin as if they had happened yesterday. He was the first person to say hello to me when I was new at the company happy hour. We shared stories about our beloved Shibas, and ripped on each other for being Alabama and Georgia fans. He gave me, like so many others, a sense of belonging and comfort, making the most out of life, and having fun while you can. As I grew to know him, I began to understand, he was like a father to some and a best friend to everyone. It's hard to go from seeing someone every day to seeing an empty chair. It's like seeing the hole in your heart right in front of you, every day. But it is ok to grieve for our loss. Kevin would understand, but of course he wouldn't want us to be sad forever! I guarantee if he was here, he'd try to cheer us up, like he always has. That's just the kind of man he was. Selfless, compassionate and funny, a brilliant ray of light that shined and showed us the beauty of the world as it is. And we will continue to remember and honor Kevin's amazing life, truly one to be celebrated! And for Kevin, not only will we "Hang In There," we will laugh with fond memories, speak of him often, and remember him for all the wonderful ways he taught us how to love life. We will miss you, Kevin, always.
