Brenda

Besides many seeing MANY acts of kindness, I have a special memory of Ken Lyndes, when I was 10 or 11. Our connection to the Lyndes family is baseball. Well the famous REDS MACHINE (or AllStars) was celebrating a HUGE victory at Farrell’s Ice Cream parlor. Well I drove up with another family and my parents ASSUMED I was in their car for the ride home, and the Berards figured I was with my family. I know, poor Brenda! After about an hour of everyone looking for me, Farrells called my parents house to claim LOST CHILD FOUND.. Mr. Ken Lyndes could not have picked my dad up quick enough to go back and get me. Poor Brenda was taken in by a family while there and given her first taste of rock candy. (Yuck). I told Ken and Carol that story probably 10 different times. It obviously stayed in my heart. Bless you Lyndes family. He will always e known as a GREAT MAN!
