I am just learning of Kay's passing. She grew up in Gwinn across the alley from our house so we had many childhood memories with the Nease family. She was always a kind soul. I will miss seeing her hiking and nature photos on fb. I often commented how beautifully she aged. My sincere condolences to Debbie, Keith, Mary & her mom Margaret. Hugs & prayers to you all.

Kay and I were the best of friends for over 20 years. I met Kay when I started teaching and found her to be the best in SF, she taught me so much. We went to grad school together. We hiked, skied, gardened as she bravely fought her first cancer. I lost touch several years ago as our lives took different directions. To her family and friends, my deepest sympathy. Kay gave her heart and soul to her students. We lost the best teacher and kind human being. Geralyn Britko
