The illness was sudden but Kathleen was lovingly cared for right up to a quiet end. Kathleen was born in Shamokin Pennsylvania on August 15th 1944. She graduated from Shamokin High School in 1962 and went on to earn a bachelors in education degree from Bloomsburg State College in 1966. After her marriage to John Korbich, she moved to Hebron Connecticut to a "fixer-upper" to raise a family and start her career. Kathleen became a mother of twin boys, Stephen and John-Scott Korbich, in 1968 during her marriage to John Korbich. For a number of years she was an elementary school teacher and also started taking business courses at Manchester Community College. With twins in tow, she eventually earned her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut in 1979 Kathleen worked as an accountant in the Banking Industry for the remainder of her career until retirement. Kathleen was married to Jim Wright in 1991, but lost him to cancer in 1997. She married Edwin Wilde in 2004 and moved with him to South Carolina where they shared many adventures, traveling and loving life together. She enjoyed cooking, reading, hiking and traveling. She leaves behind her current husband Edwin Wilde and her son's Stephen and John-Scott Korbich, five grandchildren, sisters Zita and Margaret, niece Alison, many other relatives and good friends. Steve, Jen, Scott, Katie, & family - I'm so very very sorry for your loss. I know it was a very difficult few months for you. Thankfully, Kathleen was able to leave this world peacefully and I know she was lovingly cared for over the last few months. There are many good childhood memories shared with you guys and Kathleen! I am so glad that I was able to visit Kathleen for a few days in November and reminisce. It was a good visit - makes me smile to think about it. I found a few pictures I thought you (and other family members) would enjoy seeing. Love to you and your families, Alison
