March 19th, 1982 - December 9th, 2020
“There are no happy endings. Endings are the saddest part. So just give me a happy middle. And a very happy start.”
Katherine ("Katie") Anne Weick was born on March 19th, 1982 in Palo Alto, California and passed away December 9th, 2020 in Houston, Texas. She is survived by her mother and father, Sheila and Larry Weick; older brother and his wife, Aaron and Felicia Weick; younger sister, Elyse Weick; niece and nephew, Mikaela and Jensen Weick; and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She graduated from Jenks High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2000. She then attended Washington University in St. Louis, where she earned first her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2004 and then her Juris Doctoris Degree in 2008. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2009.
Katie was a bright and passionate woman who held fast to her beliefs. Her interest in the law was a natural fit for a person with her quick wit - fueled by a dedication to fairness and equity and grounded by her sensitive and compassionate heart.

Larry, Sheila, Aaron and Elyse Thank you so much for including us in the Celebration of Katie's Life, it was truly beautiful. The consistent threads between the speakers provided us with not only a sense of who Katie was, but also of how positively she impacted the lives of others. Given the way Katie chose to live her life, Mikaela's reading of The Giving Tree seemed incredibly representative. You must all be so terribly proud of her. Our thoughts are with you all.
