It is with heavy hearts we share some devastating news that our beloved daughter, sister, aunty, great aunty, cousin, and friend Kate has passed away unexpectedly. It has been an incredibly difficult time for our family, and we are all grappling with this profound loss. To those reading this, know that your friendship meant a lot to her, and we know she valued the memories and moments you shared together.

A Virtual Celebration of Kate’s Life - “The Power of Love and Positivity” will be held Via Zoom and recorded for those who cannot make it. Please take a little time before hand to prepare yourself, including having a drink of your choice handy for a toast to Kate at the end. There is a link to the Zoom below in the "About" section.

Kate had a heart of gold and was always there with a shoulder to cry on, an ear to bend, and that easily found giggle when something tickled her funny bone. For years she has shown great tenacity and strength in battling her health issues, often without so much as a grimace though you know there was pain present. If we can take one relief from her passing, it is this, that she is no longer with that pain and frustration.

As Kate's immediate family are all in New Zealand, we are still in the process of working through what the memorial plans will look like. Once we have a clearer idea, we will be sure to let you know. In the meantime please feel free to share some of those memories and moments below.

As we navigate this difficult time, we draw comfort from the love and support we've received from friends and family like you. Kate's passing has left a void that can never be filled, but we find solace in knowing that she is now at peace.

Kate's indomitable spirit shone through her challenges. She faced every obstacle with grace and determination, inspiring us all with her resilience. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she touched the lives of so many with her compassion and empathy.

In her spare time, Kate enjoyed singing and performing with City of Voices and VOSS, and often dabbled in creating art such as painting and mosiacs, and researching her family tree. These passions were a reflection of her dedication to her family and friends, vibrant personality and adventurous spirit. Her enthusiasm for life was contagious, and her presence could light up any room.

While we grieve the loss of Kate, we also celebrate the beautiful soul she was and the positive impact she had on our lives.
