January 6th, 1971 - February 4th, 2023
Justin Michael Troy Althof, 52 of San Diego passed away at home on February 4th, 2023. Justin was born on January 6th, 1971 in San Diego, CA. He is survived by his parents, Karen Barker and Michael Althof, his sister Tracy, niece and nephews, Shelby-Jo, Michael, and Jake. He is lovingly remembered by his ex-wife, Leslie Baker and her parents, Ron and Glen Baker and the entire Baker family. Justin was preceded in death by his only child, Sydney Justine. She was everything to Justin. He is also survived by his Step Mom, Maureen and step sisters, Sheelah and Sarah, aunts, uncles, cousins. And a host of friends and extended family. We are crushed and devastated by his passing. Justin lived like he would never die and left an impression on everyone who knew him. A fun loving and hilarious guy, adoring father, he loved the ocean, motorcycles, boating, fishing and the outdoors. Closer to Justin than anyone else was his mother, Karen. There was not a single day that went by without his mother telling Justin just how much he was loved.

My JP (Justin Plumber) My son is also called Justin, so couldn't just call him that. He is one of kind. One of the biggest ride or die's ever. He didn't take 'not possible' seriously. 'Where there's a will, there's a way'. He is and always will be a huge impact in my life. He taught me lots, he encouraged me to strive forward for my goals. He even kept in touch over the years and popped up to visit (never without a call for permission) and had burritos with me. Sydney was definitely the light of his light and meaning for all Anyone that for to know him on the softer side of his hard shell, is lucky. They don't make men like him anymore. We had an awesome 2014 He used to tell me, "Perfection may not exist, but damn we came pretty close". We remained friends and pen pals over the years. So much I thought we still would get to talk about still and things we planned to do once we were 60! Karen gets many props,as the way he loves you and spoke of you, is how I strive my three boys to forever feel & speak of me.

I am a very good friend of Justin’s Mother, Karen and met Justin several times. And I know that I know Justin had a heart of gold and he loved deeply and was a very good person. This world is not easy but Justin was lucky enough to have a Mother that is the epitome of Mothers. He will be missed. God rest his soul.
