It is with great sadness that the family of Juliette Kawaja Culpepper, of San Diego California, announce her passing away on March 15, 2020 at the age of 82. Juliette will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Above all, with 55 years of faithful service, Juliette was known for her love and devotion to our God, Jehovah.

Juliette was born December 17, 1937 in Ramallah. The daughter of the late Fred and Suraya Kawaja. She moved to the United States in 1954 and later married Glenn C. Culpepper in 1958 raising their four children; William Culpepper, Sue Magners, Babet Walker, and Nina Smoley. Sister of Taj Dirbas, Muntaha Klotzer, Taj-Eddin Kawaja, Nour-Eddin Kawaja, and the late Ramona Kawood and Rukn-Eddin Kawaja; grandmother of Lauren Perez, Kamron Magners, Michael Smoley, Addison Walker, Kalyn Sieminski, Dylan Smoley, Monet Lewis , Andrew Walker, Suraya Culpepper, Aaron Culpepper; great grandmother of Bowie Roux Perez. .

One of Juliette’s greatest joys and accomplishments in life was her children, grandchildren and great grand child. She instilled in them an appreciation for their spiritual heritage. Throughout her life, her main concern was for friends and family to remain close to Jehovah and never stop serving him.

She really enjoyed life, being generous to family, friends and those in need. As a professional chef for over 30 years it was a highlight to enjoy one of Juliette’s extravagant meals prepared with love.

Juliette will be greatly missed by so many; everyone who knew her truly loved her energetic zest for life. She is greatly missed, we are comforted that she is in Gods remembrance - Malachi 3:16

On behalf of our family, we wish to express our deepest gratitude for all your love and support. There will be a memorial held in Carlsbad, California to remember her precious life and find comfort by the Bible promise, “ And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be know more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:3,4

Juliette was as kind and loving, person as I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She took to heart the bibles admonition to care for the stranger. When my son Daniel was ill with cancer and we had to travel to California, Juliette lovingly took us in till we could get our on place. Truly sad over her death.
