Mrs. Judy Gale Smith passed away at home in Taos, New Mexico on August 21, 2022. Judy was born in 1940 in Brownwood, Texas to Fred and Kizzie (Washburn) Folkes.
Judy spent her working years as a sign painter and mother. She was blessed to have moved from Espanola, NM to live next to her son, Robert Geyer, in Taos for the last 12 years of her life.

MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY OF JUDY GALE. SHE BECAME A DEAR FRIEND TO ME AND MY FAMILY BACK IN 1993 WHEN SHE MADE A HUGE BANNER IN MEMORY OF MY DAUGHTER VENESSA VALERIO WHEN SHE WAS MURDERED AND THE ESPANOLA VALLEY HAD AN EVENT IN REMEMBERANCE DAY DEDICATED AS A VENESSA VALERIO FAMILY DAY. SHE BECAME A FRIEND TO ALL AND WAS VERY WELL KNOWN FOR HER GENEROSITY THROUGHOUT THE ESPANOLA VALLEY. THANK YOU JUDY. MAY GOD KEEP YOU IN HIS LOVING ARMS.
