Judy Fung-Chi Hung
February 9th, 1941 - May 22nd, 2020
February 9th, 1941 - May 22nd, 2020
Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on February 9, 1941, Judy F. Hung began her journey through life. Judy was the eldest daughter of Chin Tsai and Chu Lin. Judy grew up in Taichung and later moved to Tainan, where she met and married her husband, Cary. Judy immigrated to the United States in 1970 and soon after obtained her US Citizenship, which she was very proud of. During her prime, she was a homemaker, a business owner, and a democracy activist. She was also a mother of 4 children. In her leisure, she enjoyed singing, dancing, painting, jewelry-making, cooking, and socializing with friends. After her retirement, Judy stayed busy by contributing to charities, raising money for her local community center and dialysis center, and teaching her children how to cook traditional Taiwanese dishes. Judy unexpectedly passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 22, 2020, while surrounded by loving family. She was preceded in death by her son, Hsiu-Cheng, father, Chin, mother, Chu, and younger brother, Lu-Tso. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Cary, one son, Sonny, two daughters, May and Tammy, daughter-in-law, Lisa, and two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jared, other loving relatives, and friends.
