"We will hold you in our hearts, until we hold you in heaven"
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Judy, who returned to her Heavenly Father on Feb, 13th 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Judy was 80 years old.
Judy was born Feb 29th, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Daniel J. Evans and Fay Ardella Wright.
She had a hard fought battle with Parkinson's, had a fall, broke her hip and was not able to recover
She attended Mt. Jordan Jr High and Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah.
Judy Diane Evans (married names: Lyon, Zimmerman, Flores)
Judy worked hard her entire life to provide for herself and her family. She was a good mother, raised her children well, they have all grown up to be wonderful, productive members of society.
Judy lived most of her life in Sandy. Several years ago, she sold her home of thirty years in Sandy and moved into a 55-plus apartment community in Taylorsville.
She worked in a doctor's office (reception and administrative work) with her sister Sharon for many years. Later, she worked as a records administrator in several nursing homes.
Judy's active spirit led her to adventures throughout her life. As a child she spent summers with her cousins on their ranch in Vernon, Utah, and she carried a deep love for that place the rest of her life.
She liked to work in her yard, and spent many hours making it beautiful. Judy loved camping and riding ATVs, especially in the beautiful Rocky Mountains here in Utah. Judy also loved to play billiards and bowling; she played on competitive teams for much of her life.
Most of all Judy loved to laugh, and most of us will remember her high spirits.
Judy is survived by her children Terry Lyon (Eileen) Dennis Lyon and Staci Horton (Waylon), her siblings, Kathy Allen, Stanley Eastman, Jeffrey Eastman and Kristy Eastman. Her grandchildren: Chase, Ashley, Kody, Preston, Great grandchildren: Vivianne, Penelope, Qortlynn and Brody.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel J. Evans and Fay Ardella Wright, her sisters Sheila, Sharon and great-granddaughter Paislee Greenhalgh

Kris

I am missing you already, although we were not that close throughout our life, we became close the last few years, went to lunch a few times and spend time visiting at your place in Taylorsville. You were what I call a front-facing person, I never had to guess where you stood, and I respected that, what you see is what you get, I have always loved that about you. Let anyone throw the first stone. I am proud to have been your little "brat" sister :) being the youngest sibling, I reck'n you were spot on. I will love and miss you every single day, until we meet again. Your sis, Kris
