We feel blessed to have had Judy and Don as our neighbors here in AZ. Judy was truly one of a kind - so knowledgeable on any topic, endlessly patient with teaching (and re-teaching us) card games, and the genuine way she cared about everyone around her. Judy had an incredible gift for making us feel welcome and remembered - she truly had a heart of gold and had a special way of making every conversation meaningful. We are sorry we couldn't be there to celebrate her life with you, but please know we are thinking of her and your family with love and gratitude. Rest peacefully, Judy. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. With deepest sympathy, Stacie & John

Judy has been my dear friend for 65 years. We met in 1961 as pledges at the Pi Phi House at UNR. My family lived many miles from Reno and Judy’s family soon became my second family. I remember the cute little colonial home on Mt. Rose Street. That house was so full of love and laughter. Judy and her family made me feel like the fourth Wilson sister. One of my favorite memories was when we all piled into the Wilson car and headed out to the desert to cut a Christmas tree. That Pinion tree was as wide as it was tall and probably weighed 200 pounds. How it fit through the door and in to that tiny living room, I will never know. Our friendship never suffered for time or miles apart. Our conversations always picked up from where they left off (no matter how many years between). And I know they will again. One day we will sip tea and laugh and be grateful for it all. Lou and I send our love and wish we could be with you at the celebration of life service. 🙏❤️ Jodie

Judy was an absolute joy! We got to know Judy through our friendship with Pam, DJ and the kids over the last 25 years. Judy was the ultimate host and always welcoming. But they say what you remember most about people is how they make you feel. Judy’s special gift was engaging with true interest in you and your family. Always making you feel at ease and at home when your own family was so far away. As a fellow military wife I respected her gift to make people feel that way so openly and warmly. Thank you Judy! The Cherry’s will always remember your warmth, kindness and great sense of humor.

Thanks Aunt Judy for opening your home(s) over the years to my best friend and his family. You helped me through some of the trials of high school, so thanks for always being willing to talk and listen to someone who really needed it! Much love.
