Juan Manuel Lujan
August 9th, 1949 - November 28th, 2023
August 9th, 1949 - November 28th, 2023
Our beloved Juan Lujan was born on August 9, 1949, to Juan (Cesario) and Gloria Lujan. He passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, following a brief illness. Juan was a pillar of strength and courage. He enjoyed reading and learning about the latest technology, and he was the best handyman around. He grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he took part in the Youth Citizens for Action Program and Little League baseball. He graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1966 and went forth to join the Marine Corps to fight in the Vietnam War. After successfully completing his duties as a Marine, he met the love of his life, Gina Lujan. They were married for 41 years, and together for 51 years. He subsequently enrolled at Northern New Mexico Community College, where he graduated with high honors. He went on to have a successful career at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he later retired. Juan was devoted to his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Emilia Lujan; parents, Juan and Gloria Lujan; wife, Gina Lujan; children, Jerry Cordova, Emilia Lujan, and Juanito Lujan; and grandson, Matthew Cordova. He is survived by his granddaughters Brittany Lujan and Charmaine Vigil-Lujan; great-granddaughter, Eleah Cordova and many more special family and friends.
A Rosary will take place on Wednesday, January 03, 2023 at 12:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:30pm. A burial will follow at 2:00pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
