It is with great sadness that I have to share the news that our dear colleague and friend, Josie Fairbrother, sadly passed away this evening following a short illness.
Josie had been part of the Manchester Airport family since 2003, giving more than 20 years of her time, friendship and dedication to those around her.
Those of us who had the privilege of knowing Josie will remember her for many things, but especially for the way she always knew how to make us laugh, in her own unique way. Her personality, humour and warmth brought something special to the workplace, and she will be greatly missed by so many of us.
This is incredibly sad news, and our thoughts are with Josie’s family and loved ones at this very difficult time.
Josie will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered.

I remember the first ever time of meeting Josie, it was 13 years ago and I was in training and Josie was buddies up with me. I was sat on the X-Ray for the first time and I kicked a hairbrush out as an unknown. Josie made sure I knew what a hairbrush was as she came up with the hair brush and hit me with it and said dont do that again.
