Back in the early 80s, I was stationed at (then) BDM's HQ on Jones Branch Drive, McLean, VA, as a cleared Security Officer within the entrance lobby. Mr. Braddock one day came up to me and shook my hand prior taking the elevator to his office and said: "How are you doing son?" "I'm doing fine sir, thank you sir" I replied. He took the time to chat with me, a nonentity-ish.

I met Joe during my first summer on the Army Science Board years ago. He amazed me with his insight and kindness and continued to do so over the years. His dedication to family and country was commendable. I will miss the conversations we had and the benefit of his wisdom. My sympathy and well wishes to Bertha and his family.

Uncle Joe served as a role model for our family, especially our children. He truly made each person feel like there was no one else in the room. He genuinely cared about your life and asked thoughtful questions. He will be missed by all of us.

4th of July 2018 at The Homestead. Dad's business travels to Europe in the 70's and 80's brought back an education in good food and great times together.
