Meet Jonathan Reed in Vrchat by the name of Jophire and he was the best thing that has ever happened to me. We would play games within a game which made it enjoyable. I don't know how I am going to come back after knowing my online friend has passed away. My condolences to the immediate family and friends.

Our monk has left the party. Even though we can't cast resurrection, we know the spell to keep him alive inside of us. We share stories of him & carry on in memorial. We go way back, don't we? How many of us have kept in touch, despite being so close for so long as kids? Before life got in the way.. You had a joy about you, uncharacteristic of the human experience. You'd smile from ear-to-ear when you unveiled a new trick in gameplay, or would laugh with such intensity when a joke would strike just right that we'd all be enraptured by your passion. I knew you as someone to confide in. I knew you as someone who'd have some clear wisdom I couldn't grasp. I knew you as someone to truly be safe with. It was your way to be moral, trustworthy & caring. I can only imagine what your inner & outer life has been in your final months, weeks & days, but there's some certainty in me that you had great family & friends by your side. Rest in power Jonathan.

I met Jonathan over a decade ago, when he came with a different friend for my 21st Birthday party. I'm fairly certain "Tall Jon" probably bought most of the liqour for the party. After the party 4 or 5 of us (with Jon included) stayed up playing something involving a roulette wheel and drinking Rumple Minze on the floor of my dorm room. I'm very confident about the Rumple Minze but the rest of that night gets very fuzzy.

Reed, you were always one of the kindest, smartest people I will ever know. I don't think I would have done half as well in college without your help. Your ear to ear smile, the way you were always ready to help, your wit, your kindness, dnd, late night conversations, times spent at the shore or around the table, gaming and discord chats all of these will be memories of you I will cherish.

I'm very sorry for your loss, I can't actually recall when/what we played, but since I'm from Central Europe, i think we met during covid while playing commander on tabletop simulator which i remember as a very joyful and pleasant time during covid. So I'm glad that I had the chance to meet him, I wish I could say or remember more but once covid was over I started playing at my local store again. But I am certain I had a good time even if I'm not able to recall it perfectly and from reading the other posts it seems he made an lasting impression on a multitude of people which were lucky to cross his path. I wish condolences to the bereaved and hope that Jonathan will keep watching over us from above. - Lukas 'BxckpxckMxn/DjSmooke'
