Dear Grandpa, I’ve always admired your strength, your kindness, and your wisdom, but now more than ever, I realize just how much I’ve learned from you for which I’m forever grateful I will always treasure the moments we had; it’s hard to imagine the world without you in it, but I know you’ll always be with me in the memories we created and the lessons you taught me. Rest in peace, Grandpa. You’ll forever be loved and missed more than I can express. Thank you for everything you gave me. I’ll carry your spirit with me always. Love Kymani

It is indeed hard to say this final goodbye, I am putting this down to honour a truly remarkable Man, my own big Daddy, CHIEF JONATHAN OLUFEMI AJIBODE. Daddy was a beacon of Wisdom, Kindness, and Integrity. Daddy was the first to gift me when I got admitted into the university, a SIM card I used, 'when it was scarce and costly like Diamond '. which, I cherished & appreciated so much. Each time I have opportunity to spend time with him, I listened intentively as he shared the stories filled with the lessons about life history and the world around us. This times I cherished and their Memories. Reflecting on your adage Daddy "Hard work never kill but laziness does" His word seemed to make the world standstill. Thank you for being a special, Teacher, Doctor, Father, Grandfather, Mentor, and above all Father of great value. Rest on Big Daddy.your memory will be forever and even a blessing to all who knew you. ADEOLA AJAYI (NEE: ADEWUMI). I love you. We love you. Keep on resting Great Father sun re oooo

Tribute to My Father-in-Law Hello, Dad. My father-in-law. I’m so grateful to have had you in our lives. From the very beginning, you showed me nothing but love and encouragement. You were always there for your grandchildren, pouring your heart into them with laughter and warmth. We are truly blessed to have had you in our lives. I’ll never forget how determined you were to visit us. You didn’t need a lift and knew your way to our house like a man on a mission, ready to spend time with your family. You always came with a smile, ready to brighten up the room. You were the life of the party, especially with the kids, creating joyful memories that they will cherish forever. Thank you for everything. I appreciate you so much, and I’m going to miss you deeply. We are all going to miss you and we already do. But we are grateful for the memories, the laughter, and the love that you’ve given us. For years, I’ve been asking Kehinde to bring me here so I could experience your culture, and now I’m finally here. It’s bittersweet because I wish you were here with us, but I know you’d be so proud to see us embracing and appreciating your heritage and fulfilling the rest of the family. We are here, and we feel blessed. We love you so much. Rest in peace, Dad. May God bless your soul. Corinne, your loving daughter-in-law.

Dear Grandpa, I love you so much! You’ve always been there for me since I was born, and I’m so thankful for all the gifts and support you’ve given me. You taught me so many important things in life, and you’re the kindest and most caring person I know. It feels like a piece of my heart is missing without you. You meant so much to everyone, always making us laugh and being so supportive. I’ll always be grateful for everything you did for us. I remember all the fun times we had, like when you took me to the park to play football and when we wrestled around. You even taught me how to dance properly! I hope you’re at peace now. Love, Korede

TRIBUTE TO A GRANDMASTER Like a candle in the wind, Baba Jonathan Olufemi Ajibode has gone—but his light still lingers in many of us. To me, he wasn’t just “Baba Ajibode.” That name carries memories. It was how my grandmother always referred to him—with respect and affection. That name meant music, mentorship, and deep-rooted wisdom. Baba was practically a movement. In Isheri-Ojodu-Magodo, almost every young man making waves in music today started with him. He didn’t just teach notes and rhythm—he taught discipline, pride in your craft and passion. What stood out most was how open he was. His house felt like a second home to so many. If you were eager to learn, his door was already open. Yes, he could be strict and we needed that. But behind that firmness was someone who genuinely cared. He didn’t just shape musicians; he shaped lives. It’s hard to believe he’s gone. But even in his absence, his impact lives on- echoing in songs, in memories, in the people he believed in. Rest well, Baba Ajibode. Thank you for everything. -VMSE Seun Awosika
