John Robert Serrano, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on June 2, 2023. John was born on February 19, 1972, in Hawthorne, California to Alsimo (Joe) and Imelda Serrano.
John was a fun-loving man, who was quick with a joke or one line retort for every situation. He was always looking forward to the next big fight or game, loved fast cars, and making people laugh. John enjoyed nothing more than supporting his sons at their games and matches, traveling to all ends of the earth to cheer for his boys.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose and Maria Serrano, Martin and Katie Herrera. He is survived by his parents, Alsimo and Imelda Serrano, his sons John John, Izayah, and Deryk, his sister Carole, brother John Paul Tapia, and nephews JoeRay, Jason, and Jeremy Anaya.
A viewing will be held on Monday, June 19th at 5:00 pm followed by a rosary at Kiva Chapel of Light at Rivera Funeral Home. A requiem mass will be held at San Isidro Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023, at 1:00 PM, and burial services will follow at Agua Fria Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Anaya, JoeRay Anaya, Glen Gabaldon, Mike “Tank” Martinez, Alex Olivas, and Jack Serrano.

Happy father's day dad! I love you and miss you so much . I didn't realize when you were here that the way I talk, walk , think, and who I am is because of you. You still make my brothers and me constantly laugh with the memories of you . Especially when we are together. The Davis vs Martin fight was tonight and all I could think about was wishing you were hear but then I thought of you and grandma watching it together in heaven. I love you Dad . Happy Father's Day! John John .
