Eldin & Colleen Pyle

OJ, Tina & my husband Eldin (Al) met 48 years ago in Spain and their friendship continued over the decades. I knew them for 30 years when I came into my husband's life. OJ & Tinas relationship is a true love story. They were interesting world travelers sailing for 14 years. OJ was very polite and proper. He always opened car doors and business doors for Tina & all women and standing when the ladies at the dining table excused themselves. Quite a remarkable trait in this day and age .

He was intelligent great conversationalist and lived life and a fun-loving big way. Many decades ago they visited my husband in Cave Creek Arizona. And they really liked it. OJ was a car enthusiast and he knew about every fancy car on the earth it seemed and this was a big commonality between Eldin and him. And once they decided their time was done in Fort Lauderdale we encouraged them to come to Arizona and they did.. At various times throughout the years we would meet in a restaurant to catch up with each other or we would make the trek to their house around Halloween and carve pumpkins and then go watch all the kiddos in town dressed up. Over the years I think we saw him in long pants a few times as he always wore a shorts. They spent their last years and their beautiful little Hideaway in Black Canyon City, taking care of the wild kids. And when Tina was gone OJ continued as he knew Tina would want him to do that. He fed the Cottontail Bunnies by hand and the javelinas would come to the little mud pit that he made and they would roll around and fall asleep. Hummingbirds were all around too. ( I think they helped him) We treasure our memories & miss both of them. Peace, Eldin & Colleen

My Uncle Jon married aunt Tina and he inherited 4 nieces. Uncle John died on my birthday, I knew he was gone when I didn’t hear from him. Since Tina passed we became very close. I was coming to visit but as always life got in the way. He always said If you don’t come see me before I die I’m going to really be mad. Well, we talked at least 3-4 times a week and talked about everything. Not only did I loose my only Uncle and a very cool one at that, I lost a best friend. Happy almost birthday
