Loved Ones

John Paul Gabris, loving husband, devoted father of 7 and grandfather of 19 was born to John and Helen Gabris in 1943. He graduated from DeVry and worked in Telecommunications for the entirety of his career. He was a strong, selfless, and non-judgmental man always making time for his family and making himself available to help others. He enjoyed tinkering with and repairing items of all types, shapes, and sizes. He had an acute interest in aviation and outer space. He enjoyed the wonderment and complexity of the universe, yet he also enjoyed the simplicity of a homemade meal enjoyed with family. John began the next part of his journey on July 22, 2020, when he was accepted into heaven and is now joined by his previously passed family, friends, and pets. He is greatly loved and will be deeply missed by the ones that remain behind.John is survived by his wife Janice L Gabris, his children, Karen (Ralph) Tucci, Kathleen (James) Faust, Paul (Jennifer) Gabris, Allison (Sean) Cumming, Deborah (Matthew) Norris, Michael (Katie) Gabris, Amanda (Lucas) Chavez and grandchildren Afton Faust, James Faust, Jr., Carmen Faust, Kelsey Faust, Tyler Faust, Andrew Chavez, Nicholas Tucci, Jacob Faust, Isabella Chavez, Amber Gabris, Clare Norris, Macallan Cumming, Veronica Norris, Michael Gabris, Caleb Cumming, Alivia Gabris, Riley Gabris, Benjamin Chavez, and Sofia Chavez.

Carole Sigalos

John and Jan and their wonderful family were my neighbors in Bloomingdale for 29 years. Our children played together, and Jan and I prayed together. John was a wonderful, kind, family centered man who worked hard to provide for his family. John will always be remembered. My deepest sympathy to Jan and the whole, beautiful family. They displayed a love that I deeply admired all these years. Hearts that reflect Jesus. With my love always, Carole Sigalos
