We have some fairly extreme flight situations (opportunities) here in Alaska. Every time I see someone land, and then take off from a 25 ft sandbar in a running river, I always seem to picture Jack smiling out the window. Nearly 30 years ago he offered to teach me to fly. Missing that opportunity is among my life's greatest regrets.

Thanks, Mike, for this! We were great trekkers for sure!

You were a great friend John. I miss you buddy.

Robin, I knew John years ago when I was hauling freight in 2006. We both had a long layover in Carlsbad, NM and got to know each other pretty well during that time. We didn't keep in touch after that year, but I always remembered him and the quality of discussions we had. I also remembered that he lived in Lincoln, NM. Today, I drove through Lincoln for the first time in my life and tried looking him up. That is how I found that he died last November and also your kind efforts to create a space of remembrance for him. I don't know how you knew him, but you are a true friend. I'll catch up with him during a layover on the other side! God bless you.. J. Gordon Seaman
