If you can pardon the very timely pun, there was something wonderfully infectious about Jo's personality. The trademark laugh, the warm smile, and a lifetime's worth of selfless acts. I passionately feel that being open and sharing your feelings can literally be the difference between life and death, and that is the most valuable legacy we can all take from the most tragic of endings to my Jo's life that everybody can benefit from. She was a warm, fun ny, selfless, and eternally understanding individual who would love to be remembered for the boundless love she shared with so many people. To celebrate the life of a person who touched so many, the most fitting tribute is to please keep talking, always be open, and share your feelings. Please share your lasting memories and tributes to Jo that we will be sharing at our virtual memorial service. Please click on 'Memories & Condolences' and type in your favourite stories, memories, and thoughts about Jo - a photo and video would be wonderful, too! You are welcome to either join us for this service (full details below) or read the tributes in your own time as people share them on this website. It is with this in mind that we would like to plan a virtual gathering at 4pm on the day of Jo's funeral (Wednesday 15 April) to share the lasting memories and tributes for those whose lives she touched so that we can laugh and smile at how the beautiful life that she chose to lead crossed paths and shaped our own. Full details of how to join this and RSVP are on this page. We will, of course, still be warmly inviting you to a Service of Thanksgiving once these challenging times are over, but hope that the chance to join our Virtual Celebration of Life can help you in some way. It is very fitting that Mum so dearly loved dogs and that the black dog has become a symbol for raising awareness of mental health. All donations will be going to The Black Dog campaign powered by SANE, a mental health charity: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/remembering-jo-draper

I've known Joanne since we were children living just a few houses apart and going to the same schools. Some of my earliest memories are of us all playing out in the street, I hadn't seen Jo for a few years but have very fond memories of all growing up together; the street party we had for the silver jubilee, Jo and her family as guests at our wedding, happy times. Can't believe she is no longer with us, rest on peace now Jo. Lots of love to Joan and her family xxx

I first met Jo when I joined the Export Team nearly 10 years ago. She had a fantastic sense of humour and would regularly get us all told off from the noise we used to make laughing at her jokes. There are so many of her funny comments and thoughts that I don't think any of us will forget. She used to poke fun at me for the amount of times I left the team and this is a photo from one of my many leaving days. She was always there if you needed to talk things over whether it be work related or something else. I am heartbroken to think she didn't feel she could open up about what was troubling her and hope that she is now at peace. She will be deeply missed and hopefully she knows what a special person we all thought she was. Lots of love Jo xxxx

I met Jo when I joined the export team at Tesco back in 2013. I didn't know her well to start with but over the years we became good friends. We often sat next to each other and her sense of humour and "inappropriate" jokes got me through many a dull day in the office. Her love of hot chocolates and her favourite line to me as a part timer as I left the office each day " thanks for popping in " made her such a character and one I'll miss and remember fondly. I'm sad that she didn't reach out to us during her darkest time. Sleep peacefully Jo Your mate, Fran xx

I worked with Jo for over 10 years at Tesco. She was always full of jokes and banter and was always happy to go for a hot chocolate and a chat. Jo had a heart of gold and would do anything for you, She always asked after my boys and loved to see pictures of them and hear how they were getting on. I missed her and how quiet the office was when she left last year. I was devastated to hear the news of her passing and hope that she is now at peace. Sending love to all her family today xxxx

I worked with Jo from my first day in export back in Nov 2019. I just can't count the number of times she made me laugh, such a wicked sense of humour. Jo was a good friend who would always be there for you and was caring, thoughtful and very loving. We miss Jo's loving nature and laughter. Rest in peace Jo xx

I first met Jo when she joined Amigos a social club based around Ware. I don't remember getting to know her straight away although we did talk. It was when we went on a day trip to London that we discovered a mutual hate of slimming clubs (but a need to go!) along with a passion for photography. Jo always enjoyed time with Amigos and even when the rest of us were drinking she would sit there with just her coke but she'd be having as much fun as the rest of us; she had a wicked sense of humour which I'll never forget. We went on a few weekends with Amigos and always had a great time. One in particular was when we went to Harrogate, we had a fabulous day on the Saturday taking photos of the local area and went into York in the afternoon, that evening she offered to drive a group of us to Scarborough, we still talk about this day even now. We named ourselves ‘Five go to Scarborough' and had the most amazing time. Pauline originated from there, so she was our guide. The conversation was just a laugh a minute and was one of the best times I remember having with a group of friends. We had many days and nights out which I missed once she'd moved away, we did keep in contact via text and messenger but only met up a couple of times, we were hoping to meet up again, but it wasn't to be. RIP Jo, you will be so very missed xxx
