1 Love
On a beautiful winter's day in Troy Alabama, a priceless beacon was created and gifted to Mr. William Howard and Elizabeth Brand, in the form of an irreplaceable son named Jimmy Clarence Howard. Jimmy, also playfully known as "Jimbo" was born on February 18, 1945 in Troy Alabama. Jimmy was the only child, however, he was never alone. Words became his best friend, and his passion for language arts allowed him to excel to significant educational heights throughout his life. He graduated from the Alabama public school system, and obtained a Bachelors Degree in English from Clark Atlanta University. Shortly after, he received his first teaching position at Barbour Middle School in Detroit, MI. That position would be the start of a very impactful educators journey. His knowledge and dedication would soon be felt at Finney High School, Martin Luther King High School, Detroit School of Arts (DSA), and Benedictine High School. Although Jimmy had a strong love for teaching, nothing could compare to the love that he had for his children. Jabari, Isoke, Alessandra, Taylor, and Micah, were beautiful creations that were gifted to him, and he was forever grateful to God and the amazing mothers of his children. Jimmy also had 2 grandchildren, and a host of family and friends who loved him throughout this life and beyond when he departed on April 9th 2020 at 3:29 pm.

Tribute to Brother Chela and Godfather From: Connie and Godchild You taught lessons in everything you did and said. It is not necessary to be in the house, city or state to love and care. It is not necessary to say a multitude of words to convey gratitude. It is no necessary to talk about intent or plans to be invested in contributing to growth and development. For all the love you showed, gratitude you expressed, and contributions you made to our growth and development we thank you with all our hearts for yesterday, today, and forever! Peace abide. We appreciate and love you. Connie and Constants
