Shannon Armour

Jimmy Armour

Jimmy Armour passed away on July 19, 2020, after a 5-year battle with metastatic melanoma.  He leaves behind his best friend and wife of 29 years Shannon, son Jason, daughters Mindi and Ashley, four grandchildren, as well as his mother Sharon, uncles Roy and Richard, sisters Dawn and Cheryl, nephews Benjamin and Anthony, nieces Athena, Brittani, and Briana, several grand-nieces and grand-nephews and numerous cousins.
Now with God, he will be reunited with loved ones who passed on previously include grandfather Walter, his grandmother, dad Jim Sr., brother Kevin, and uncle Larry, also a few close and missed friends.
From the outside he was a big guy that could seem intimidating. But once you got to know him, you would find that inside he was a big teddy bear with an intelligent mind, a fighting spirit and a big heart.  In life Jimmy aspired to be a good man, a loyal friend and husband, the best dad he could be, and a strong provider for his family. It was an example set by his dad that he strived to match in his own way.
Jimmy had a way of being able to read people, understand and relate to them quickly. He was funny and enjoyed making people laugh, especially in a sad or stressful moment, by saying something unexpected. He was kind-hearted and generous, helping others wherever and whenever he found a need. But he also didn't hesitate to tell anyone his opinion and how he saw things. Always one to always keep things interesting, to say the least!
Jimmy, your family and friends are proud of you. We were blessed by your presence in our lives.  We will miss you until we see you again.  Until then, walk with God, be free and rest in peace.
