Bob Brown

I have literally hundreds of great memories of Dad, and every single will be cherished and shared with my Mum, Scott and our own off-spring for many years to come. Not many people will know, but Dad was a fantastic basketball player back in the day. He was the 'Larry Bird' of the RAF team (LOL) and he won many trophies that were staked up in our loft. He played at the Albert Hall and it was his sport just before I grew up. Then when I was 10 Dad created a brand new team in Yate (near Bristol) and loved watching his team play. There was always the traditional huddle in basketball, lots of bravado, sweat and the odd broken toe. His feet showed the scars! It struck me then that my Dad was actually brilliant at something I hadn't ever seen him do before because he had an amazing passion. A passion that shone through in everything he tried to do well and a born leader.
