My husband and I are extremely blessed that we were able to share in friendship with Jim over the past 8 years. Amy and I met at work and we seemed to have an immediate connection. Early on, I remember Amy telling me about her husband, Jim and their many adventures. Weather she was sharing about a motorcycle trip, a camping adventure, or a foreign excursion, every story she shared was always about the two of them. During one of our discussions, I told Amy about our favorite camping spot (at the time) in Lowman and urged her and Jim to join us. They did, and during this weekend the Hamm/Clark friendship commenced. I quickly learned that once you got passed Jim's rough and tough biker dude exterior, you couldn't help but love him! He was so warmhearted, easy-going, funny, and even a bit sensitive! Our friendship seemed to get stronger and stronger as time passed. When you spent time with Jim and Amy, you couldn't help but notice how perfect they were together. It was so refreshing to witness the love and respect they shared for each other. I guess you can say they were our marriage mentors. There are so many Jim & Amy memories, we will carry in our hearts forever. We bowled together for several years. We enjoyed bowling so much, we were bowling twice a week for a while and continued to bowl even when our league was cancelled. And though we competed against other teams in our league, we also competed against each other (Girls against Guys). I have to admit that the guys would often triumph over the girls, but when Amy and I won a game, we celebrated excessively. Jim generously offered his coaching expertise and would often say to me, "you need to concentrate". When I would screw up on a frame, he would sarcastically say "you weren't concentrating". Today when I screw up at bowling, I can still see Jim's silly face expression telling me that I didn't concentrate! Camping was one of my favorite things to do with the Clarks. We ate like kings and queens, played a lot of games (more competition between the guys and gals), boated, fished, and just enjoyed nature. My favorite thing about camping with the Clarks was the many deep discussions and laughter we shared around the campfire, at night, under the stars. Jim didn't sugar coat anything in those discussions. I always knew where he stood on matters. He was real. And I always felt I could be real in return with no judgement. There were however occasions where Jim would tell me that I had hurt his "one and only" feeling. He was kidding of course!!! We'll always have a seat for you at our campfires Jim! We were thrilled when Jim and Amy invited us along on their annual Mexico trip a few years ago and we've joined them since. Morning mimosas by the ocean, hanging out at the pool in the afternoons, and sharing a nightcap in the evenings. The Mexico memories we made are Priceless! Mexico will not be the same without you Jim. I will forever cherish all the little things we did together. Our evening dinners together, trying new restaurants, hanging out by the pool, attending Clark or Hamm family events (birthday celebrations, cornhole tournament, super bowl parties, anniversary celebrations), or simply running up to Grangeville to stare at our properties and dream about the future. We already miss you brother and though you are not physically here, the mark you've made on our lives and our hearts will live on forever!!!

If life is conveyed as a novel- words on a page, chapters in a book- I will score the page and chapter of our introduction, titled, "That's so fucking gay brother!" and I will visit it regularly to hear your voice and indulge on the heart that the deaf could hear and the blind could see. I knew the minute I sat at your table that my conversation would be rewarding, entertaining, and over all joyful when you were there first! If you walked in after me the room lit up and everyone knew they needed time with you at your table! You brought us joy with your words, emotions and phrases, "That's so fucking gay brother!" We loved sharing recipes and cooking techniques. And I especially loved to hear you tell stories of yours and Amy's dates, or your quick whispers of how you loved this woman so much that..... the rest is stuck in my brain! Grateful for your friendship, thankful to have been at your side for so many good laughs. And beyond blessed to have had you as a friend! See ya later friend! Enjoy making a place filled with laughter and fun elsewhere!💖
