November 29th, 1963 - January 4th, 2023
Oviedo Florida — Jenny Chappell Jackson, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and professional transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on Wednesday January 4, 2023, while surrounded by her loving husband Allan Jackson, son Clayton Besaw and her sisters Pam, Tammy and Kathy.
Our Jenn lived her life to the fullest while fighting during the last three years against Scleroderma and Primary Billary Cholangitis at the young age of 59.
Jenny worked as an IT analyst and developer for 27 years at Oracle until her illness was discovered. She took intense pride and ownership in her work. She was a leader, colleague and friend to many during her tenure and published on development best practices.
Jenn was a dedicated Disney fanatic and spent much of her remaining years enjoying the Disney parks while also arranging wonderful family trips. Jenny was also a collector at heart. She enjoyed collecting Disney memorabilia rare, limited and everything in-between. Not only did her collecting bring her comfort and joy during her 3-year battle, but she shared this joy by gifting numerous finds to her nieces, nephews, sisters and friends alike.
Jenny was amazingly strong, loving and thoughtful. Her devotion to her family and friends was unconditional and her love helped many and saved others when they needed support in their most trying times. Throughout her life she set an example by treating everyone with kindness and charity. She practiced compassion and led by example by making it a point to stand up for others, even when it was unpopular or difficult to do so.
Jenny was born on November 29, 1963 in Portsmouth Virginia and was preceded in death by both of her paternal and maternal grandparents, her father Thomas C Chappell, her mother Paula E. Chappell, and her loving in laws Art and Melva Jackson, all who she adored with the entirety of her heart.
Jenny’s memorial service will be held privately with direct family. In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that donations be made to the American Liver Foundation (https://liverfoundation.org/), the National Scleroderma Foundation (https://scleroderma.org/) or the Florida Humane Society (https://floridahumanesociety.org/).
