Her light remains
Jennifer Christine Seals, lovingly known as Jenn, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 39 in Palo Alto, surrounded by family at Stanford Medical Center. Born and raised in Sacramento, Jenn built a life defined by compassion, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to living fully in each moment.
From a young age, Jenn faced significant health challenges caused by the liver condition she was born with. She spent much of her life in and out of hospitals — a reality that would have hardened some people, but not her. Instead, it shaped her heart, her empathy, and ultimately her purpose. Those experiences gave her the desire and passion to become a nurse.
She worked tirelessly, over many years, to turn that dream into reality. Even when curveballs came — when her body slowed her down or the path became difficult — she remained determined. She completed her Licensed Vocational Nursing program in 2018, then pushed forward to earn her Registered Nursing degree. She was committed in a way that only someone who truly understands suffering and healing can be. To Jenn, patients were not tasks or charts. They were someone’s mother, daughter, father, brother, and sister. Caring for people wasn’t just her job; it was her calling. She poured every bit of her heart into it.
Jenn’s spirit was gentle, giving, and deeply authentic. She adored her family and loved her nephew beyond measure. To Liam, she was joy, safety, and unconditional love — the kind of love that leaves an imprint on a person’s life forever. She lived freely and unapologetically, doing her own thing without a care in the world for the judgments of others.
Jenn believed in living fully and honestly. She would often say, “You never know, I could die tomorrow,” not out of fear, but as her reminder to herself — and to all of us — to embrace life with openness and gratitude. She lived this truth every single day: loving deeply, giving freely, and never taking life’s blessings for granted.
Her loyal golden retriever, Daisy, was her constant companion and greatest comfort. Daisy adored her with the same devotion Jenn offered to everyone she loved. When she wasn’t caring for others or spending time with family, Jenn found happiness in the simple, steady joys — watching her favorite reality TV shows, heading to the mall for a bit of shopping, or just enjoying quiet moments with Daisy by her side. Jenn’s life was not always easy, but she met it with courage, softness, and honesty.
She gave her heart freely, and the people who knew her felt it deeply. Though her time here was far too short, her love remains — strong, steady, and alive in the memories we carry, the lives she touched, and the people she cared for.
In lieu of flowers, the family simply encourages others to extend an act of kindness in her name.

Jen, You are truly beautiful both inside and out. You always cared about the people around you and fiercely loved your family. Whether driving Julie and I in the early hours to the airport, making broth from scratch…etc. I always felt truly welcomed whenever I came over. Your eagerness to learn more about your faith has truly been inspiring. You will always be remembered for the beautiful free spirited, love filled person. I know your skin is glowing now.
