In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Michael Evans October 12, 1960 - May 29, 2024
Jeffrey “Jeff” Michael Evans, age 63, of London, Kentucky, was born on October 12, 1960, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He is the son of the late Jan M. Evans, Sr., and Joan M. (Engebretsen) Smirnov of Naples, Florida. Jeff’s love of life didn’t end when he passed from this world. He was born into eternal life on May 29, 2024, after developing heart trouble. He had recently retired at the time of his passing. Jeff grew up in Green Bay and Naples, Florida. From there, he lived for many years in Georgia. At one point, beautiful Key Largo, Florida, was his home, where he lived adventurously on a boat for a time and loved every moment.
There wasn’t a stranger that Jeff ever met. He fiercely loved all of his family, friends, and critters and made it known in many conversations. Jeff was a country boy with a wide smile and a big, warm heart. His humble, friendly demeanor was contagious to everyone he encountered. Jeff had a variety of interests. He always took great joy in singing. It truly came from his heart. He was an RC (remote control) enthusiast. He also enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.
Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James E. and Muriella H. (Clark) Engebretesen, and his paternal grandparents, Roy R. and Dulice A. (Krueger) Evans. Jeff was also preceded in death by his uncle James C. Engebretsen, his cousins Mark and Jamie Engebretsen, and many beloved aunts and uncles.
Jeff is survived by Lisa A. (Lardinois) Evans of Manchester, Kentucky, and his three children, Jodie (Eran) Huth, Christopher (Elizabeth) Evans, Tiffany (Jason) Bazan, his grandchildren Gage Evans and Grayson Evans, his step-grandchildren, Eran Huth II and Caleb Huth, his step-children, Mitchell Monroe and Jessica Behrendt.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Jan Evans, Jr. of Green Bay, WI, Jayne (Marc) Berman of Naples, FL, Jean (Randy) Edwards of Ft. McCoy, FL, Kevin Georgeson (Cindy) of Fort Myers, FL and Joseph (Amy) Smirnov of Naples, FL, in addition to ten nieces and nephews, ten grandnieces and grandnephews, his cousins, Lori (Mark) Fick and Vicki (Kevin) Linzmeier, his lifelong friends Dean Wold, Danny Lardinois, Mark Batson, and so many cherished family and friends. He truly loved everyone who was a part of his life.
At the request of Jeff’s family, please pray for him and all of our departed loved ones.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
“Death is nothing else but going home to God, the bond of love will be unbroken for all eternity." — St. Teresa of Calcutta
