We created this page for all that know and love Jeff Boettner (aka howlermunkey, Jeffrey, and dude) and all who loved and cherished his unique nature. This is meant to be a place to document your favorite Jeff stories with no judgement, a place to share your photos of him, a place to grieve with others over the loss of such a unique soul. Our memories are rich with the color that Jeff brought to our world. Jeff was the antithesis of boring or regular and we encourage you to share your favorite stories as a way to celebrate and remember his life. Jeff made friends all over the world and hearing the stories of others intertwined will help us build a meaningful account of the network of people who loved him and respect his life. Jeffrey F. Boettner was born September 20, 1971 in Ft Lauderdale, FL and passed away on June 10, 2020 in Rhode Island. Jeff was a kind and giving man, an intelligent IT professional, a loyal friend, a best friend, a godfather, a fanatic FSU fan, a pharmaceutical pen collector, a story teller of all stories, an adventurer, a traveler, a teacher of kindness, a real estate investor, an avid nature observer and lover, a dog lover, a mountain biker, a music aficionado, a day trader, a sommelier by way of consumption, a free bird, a photographer, a hiker, an IT writer, a boss, a giver, a believer of the good in people, but most of all Jeff was and still is a person who lived life to the fullest and touched so many in all the ways only Jeff could. We love and miss you Jeff.

When I heard of Jeff's passing from Nabil and Scott. I could not believe it at first. I actually met Jeff through Nabil those two were always attached at the hip, just like Scott Evens and I were. Where ever we went Jeff and Nabil would go as well! When Nabil and I were speaking on the phone the other night a lot of the stories were coming back to me about all the fun we used to have when we attended FSU! I remember how happy Jeff was when he purchased his home in Golden Eagle and he wanted to throw a party and it was a bash of course, Jeff was the party! I remember when he had a deck put into his backyard with a small pond or river going through it. Since I was already smashed and had to go, I decided to use his new deck and pond to pee, lol 😂! Well Jeff I never told you that one! There are many stories that can be told about how fun he was to hang out with, but when it came time to get into deep conversations about life those conversations are what I'm going to remember about Jeff! I really wish we knew what happened to our friend but one day it will come out! I will make sure I open an expensive bottle of wine tonight and have a a glass or two for Jeff! Rest in Piece my friend and I'm sure you are through those Pearly Gates and enjoying you life up high and watching over all of you friends and making sure they are safe! Until we meet again, you will be missed!!!! Your friend Alan.

This is how I will remember Jeff...sitting in our kitchen (or his), drinking expensive wine, and laughing at his stories. ♥️

I met Jeff while I lived in Tallahassee in the 90's. Some of my most treasure memories took place there! He was a great friend of my brothers. He was a unique soul and I remember when I met him I immediately adored his laugh and outlook on life. At that time everyday was one big party! We shared many great memories together over the years! I admired him for his sense of freedom. Even more so for his wit! When I heard of his passing I thought wow not only taken too soon, but heaven has gained an incredibly humorous unique angel. God bless you Jeff. You will be missed my many. I for one will treasure my precious memories with you. Rest easy. 🙏🏻
