Sorry for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God give you all strength at this sad time. We as a family remember Jean as being a lovely, warm person who was always ready to help and offer support if needed. May she rest in eternal peace. "Long after we lose our dear ones and the sorrow of parting is gone, their memories, sweet and endearing, some how always live on" With love and sincere condolences, Barbara Teape (Burton) and family.

Grandma Jean, as my son and I lovingly called you. You were the ears to listen and the voice of wisdom that encouraged. I know death is for everyone, but I honestly didn’t know I would be writing a tribute to you and it is not in a celebratory setting. Your smile, kindness and welcoming spirit were some of your many attributes that drew me to you. It breaks my heart to know that I did not get to tell you how much you have positively impacted my life while you were here. Sleep on my beautiful grandma Jean. Your memories will live on through us whose lives you have touched. Keep on smiling that beautiful smile of yours until we meet again. Sash.

Jean Burton was a very special lady. She was very dear to me, she was my aunt Jean. When you see Jean and ask “how are you Mrs Burton?”, she always replied “blessed, and highly favored. I’m doing well my dear”. If you know her then you know the love she carried for her children and grandchildren. She loved her family dearly. I don’t say it lightly when I say she will be missed. Sleep my dear sweet aunt Jean, sleep and take your rest. I know we have a guardian angel in heaven. Until we meet again. P.S. I will never forget the way you looked out for me when I needed help. Love Wendy

You lost Jean much too young. She will be so missed. She was always such a positive person, always so welcoming, like sunshine in your life We will always remember how she always made time for us when we were in Jamaica, always so helpful and fun to be with. We were so lucky and privileged to have known her and to have spent time with her. God bless Love, Luke and Angela x

Jean You were more than just a friend — you were family. In your presence, laughter came easily, burdens felt lighter, and even the quiet moments were full of peace. You had a way of making others feel seen, heard, and valued. That’s a rare gift — and you gave Though you’re no longer with us in body, your spirit lives on in the kindness you showed, the lives you touched, and the love you gave so freely. Your absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but your presence will never be forgotten. God knows best Jean; Rest in Peace Janet Samuels
