Jean-Anne's Child
Jean-Anne "Beppa" Moro
September 21st, 1952 - June 10th, 2026
September 21st, 1952 - June 10th, 2026
In Loving Memory of Jean-Anne Moro (VanWart) September 21, 1952 – June 10, 2026 With shattered hearts but endless gratitude for her life, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, Jean-Anne Moro. Jean-Anne left us to fly with the angels on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 2:40 AM, following a courageous and fiercely fought battle with cancer. In her final moments, she was wrapped in comfort and love, surrounded closely by her children Mai-Lea, Lucas, and Kurtis. True to Jean-Anne’s wishes, a traditional funeral service will not be held. She has been cremated, and her family will honor and celebrate her life privately. A Life Full of Heart and Laughter Growing up in Etobicoke and attending Kipling High School, Jean-Anne was known from a young age for her bright energy and unforgettable spirit. She was the definition of fun—someone who brought light into every room, possessed a wonderfully sharp wit, and had a heart so massive it comfortably held everyone she ever met. She lived her life with open arms, and to know her was to love her. Jean-Anne found peace and joy in the simple beauty of nature, holding a lifelong love for birds, whose free spirits mirrored her own. Her Legacy of Love Above all else, Jean-Anne’s greatest achievement and deepest joy was her family. She was a fiercely protective, endlessly supportive, and loving mother to her children: Joey, Mai-Lea, Cynanne, Tara, Lucas, and Kurtis. Her heart grew even larger when she became a grandmother. Affectionately and proudly known as "Beppa," she completely adored her grandchildren: William, California, Dylan, Dawson, Tatum, Ryleigh, Autum, Ellectra, Brody, and Jesse. Each of them carried a piece of her bright spirit. As well as an amazing Aunt and great aunt to many. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Gerrow and Marianne VanWart. Jean-Anne’s memory will be kept alive by her loving siblings: Paul, Peter, Patti, Margo, Mary-Jo, Tim, and Jacquie, as well as a large circle of extended family and lifelong friends. She will be sadly missed, infinitely remembered, and loved forever. Jean Anne and I have been friends since we were about 6 yrs old. We went to St. Benedict’s, Transfiguration and Kilpling together. I was so honoured to stand up with Jean Anne when she married Lou. In our later years we didn’t see very much of each other, but we’re always in contact directly or indirectly. I got to know MaiLei, Cynanne and Tara Jean and enjoyed spending time with them. Jean Anne was always open to everyone, and always made you a cup of tea.
