My deepest sympathies are with you all. We loved Jane and have so many wonderful memories of Jane. I remember when my dad Corky lived at Grandpa Chester's, and we would go over to visit with Dwan and Jane. Jane always fed us sandwiches whether we were hungry or not. Later in life, when my husband Jon and I would visit, we'd chat about Hawaii, and Jane would still give us sandwiches. Makes me smile just thinking about sitting in the kitchen and chatting. All our love, Melanie Witt-Wilson and Jon Wilson

From Jane's dear friends, The Merkels: Jane was truly a saint while she lived her life on this earth. And what a joy she is experiencing as she celebrates in heaven. I feel that my life was enriched by calling her a friend. (cheryl says, "wow")

From Corky Witt I was working outside, getting the deck furniture put away, when I heard the sound of cranes. I ran to get my camera and then took this shot as a large flock of sand hill cranes passed directly overhead. Coming inside I downloaded the crane photos and opened my emails. Soon I was looking at the readings for Jane's service. It struck me that I'd be photographing sand hill cranes right before I looked at the story of Jane knowing just where to be to see the cranes land. Jane felt the spirituality of nature, just as I do. The connection of the crane photos and the reading made me feel connected to Jane once again. Katherine and I were in McCall, ID so were not able to attend her service, but we did visit with Jane and Dwan last month and now when ever I see cranes I'll think of Jane. Love, Corky
