1946 - March 2nd, 2023
Jana Lee Collard (Koko Grandma) 12/24/1946 to 3/2/2023 (76) Jana was born in Joplin, MO to John and Eileen Swab and was the oldest of six siblings. She graduated from Missouri Southern University and worked in the financial field over four decades, retiring from Scottrade. Jana resided in St. Louis, Missouri where she spent many of her days with her daughter, son-in-law and six grandchildren. She also enjoyed a close bond and friendship with each of her siblings who live in Joplin, MO and California. Jana was a lifelong lover of cats and in recent years grew to love her grand-dog, grand-chickens, grand-bunny and grand-hamsters too. Jana’s faith was foundational to everything she did. She was an active member of The Journey Church, where she volunteered at Sunday School and community events. She belonged to Bible study groups and enjoyed singing hymns each week with her many friends at Cedarhurst. Jana is preceded in death by her parents John and Eileen, brother Thomas, and her son, Jeff Jaynes (surviving wife Darla). She is survived by her daughter Marcy Naeger (Collard), son-in-law Brian Naeger, grandchildren Alex, Jacob, Ella (Thomas), Lilly, Melia and Maxim, and her siblings John Carey Swab, Diane Thomas, Mark Swab and Celia Swab, her brother in law Eric Thomas and sister-in-law Tammy Swab. The family will hold a private memorial but please feel free to post comments and share memories.

What a beautiful addition she was to our Naeger family! We loved her like one of our own and can’t imagine celebrating a holiday, especially her birthday/Christmas Eve, without her. Eternal rest grant to her, oh Lord, and May perpetual light shine upon her!
