I did not know Jan for a long time, but I didn't have too. She is the kind of person that just with only a few minutes can leave you with a lifetime impression. With ger beatiful smile just brighting up your day. With her kindness, she made you feel welcome and appreciated. Her style was unique and elegant. She was one of a kind and I was blessed to have met her even for a brief time

I was so saddened to hear about Jan. I knew her all through school in Odessa. Jon was in many of my classes in elementary school. While we were not close friends, she was one person that I really enjoyed talking to and being around. I still vividly remember (54 years ago now) how optimistic, light-hearted, friendly, and bubbly she was. She always seemed to be a caring, gentile, and loving person. I really admired her for that. She was the type of person that I deeply wish we had more of in the world. I am sure she will be missed, and I offer my sincere condolences to her family on the loss of such a loving person.

Jan & Chip stood up for Donna & me when we married in 1980. Now Jan and Donna are gone, however, the impression they left on this world will never fade. Thanks for the good times, will never forget. Will always love you & Chip for the light you brought into our lives. Stay strong,

Words don’t describe what Jan meant to us. We shared lots of fun times with her and her family. She called me her little brother since we shared birthdays. The world is a sad place without her because she was a very special lady. God bless her and her family.

I was very close to Jan’s twin brother, and through him I became very close to Jan and her family. During her brother’s passing, I stayed with Jan and her husband Chip, and I will always remember the kindness and strength they showed during that time. Prior to that, they invited me to celebrate Jan and John’s 50th birthday in Las Vegas—we had an absolute blast together. I also spent many wonderful times at Jan’s house with her twin, enjoying swimming parties, games, and gambling. My first real acquaintance with Jan was at a big anniversary party for her and Chip, where The Yellow Rose Band played. From that moment on, she welcomed me into her life, and we stayed in touch through the years after John’s passing and up until she became ill. I loved Jan and her family so much. It truly saddens me to hear of her loss. I am sending all my love, thoughts, and prayers to Chip and the family. To her sons Colin, Jason and husband, Chip: thank you for inviting us to share our memories. I hope mine brings you comfort and reminds you how deeply Jan was loved by all who knew her.
