James Jim" Talbot

James (Jim) Talbot died peacefully, June 7, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Born July 26, 1949 in Nowata, OK, he is preceded in death by his father, William Talbot, survived by his mother, Bobbie Talbot, wife, Myra Talbot, brothers Tom and Robert Talbot, sister Billie (David) Warner, daughters Julie (Don) Novel, Angie Tucker and grandsons Elliott Bakirci and Anthony Novel. Jim graduated from Raytown High School in MO and attended West Virginia State University. He was the proprietor of Specialty Fabrications and Products. As a young man, he achieved the honor of Eagle Scout. He served in the US Army 173rd Airborne in Vietnam as a paratrooper and clerk. He served his community through numerous charitable endeavors, including the Board of Directors for the Parkersburg Salvation Army. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, June 16 at 11 a. m. at the Salvation Army, 570 5th Street, Parkersburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
