James Robert Steel Jr.

On January 28th 2021, America lost a true patriot and family man in James Robert Steel, Jr. Throughout his long, happy and adventurous 76 years of life, he served his country by fighting in Vietnam as an attack pilot, became a career Naval Officer of 23 years, married the love of his life and raised three sons. He is survived by his cherished wife Cynthia Steel and his three sons who lovingly adored him, James R. Steel, III, Andrew R. Steel, and Jefferson H. Steel. He touched the lives of so many in our community and he will be remembered by his friends through his storied past and compassionate heart. He will be missed. We love you Commander and your stories will be held in infamy for as long as we able to tell them.
