In honour of Padmashri Sh. Prashant Kumar Sen, lovingly known as Baba/Dadu

To our Dadu, On a typical day in B-2/2275, there was the bustle of multiple-simultaneous family discussions happening across the living room, the occasional ‘arre' directed towards the cricket match going on in the background tv, the delicious home-cooked meals being set up on the dining table, the habitual banter with Puku and a new political topic that had sprung up for debate. All this as you sat in the centre of that living room, in the big old chair, omnipresent over all these diverse bits of dialogue. You were the sun in our universe. You held our hands and narrated the Mahabharat till we fell asleep, waited to tell us new life experiences during Sunday breakfast, proudly took us to national parks to see tigers, made five-six dishes for every meal accruing to each person's favourites, took the largest helpings of the sweet dish especially caramel custard and were first to crack a joke or call us ‘donkeys' for doing something stupid. You truly taught us the meaning of living a large and fulfilling life. To the one who always had a bigger bowl of chocolate-chip ice cream than us, today what we feel can't be put into words. It is a mix of love, joy, remembrance and most of all pride over this incredible legacy and life lessons you have left us with- it has truly made us who we are. From here on, we hope to make you proud of what we do every single day. Tell Nani about us, always look over us while here we proudly tell everyone about our Dadu and his legacy.
