Iris’s Memorial Speech I would like to share a couple of words about our granddaughter …. Iris Sky Zimmerman. We have known little Iris from almost the beginning. I remember how happy Zac and Shaina were when they shared their baby news. She had a name from the get go. Her life was short but she lived and traveled across the country with her parents. She visited more of America than many adults. Zac and Shaina are great parents who nourished and provided Iris a loving home. I wanted to get something toremember Iris year after year. So I went online and found what’s called the Siberian Iris also known as Sky wings. This Iris flower has light blue and white petals. The blue flowers are longer and are on the outside. The white petals are in the middle of the flower and stretch upwards like a pair of wings. We will plant this in our garden out the back to remember Iris year after year in spring. Iris is buried with family, next to her great great granny and great Uncle Freddie. She is now in heaven with Shaina’s mom and Iris will be looking after her parents as they live and grow together. Iris will always be in our hearts.
