Horace W. Revell passed away at his home in Philadelphia, PA on April 1, 2020 at the age of 59. His untimely death leaves us all bewildered. But, TODAY we celebrate the life of our dear Horace Revell. Hoarce, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 10, 1961. He graduated from Widener Memorial School in 1982. Horace went on to work at the Elwyn Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he assembled first aid kits for the United States military, until 2006. In 1987, he participated in the Keens Games, a Special Olympics Game sponsored by Inglish House, where he won two silver medals for Discus Throwing. Horace had an avid and passionate love for music. He had a special affinity for 70's and 80's R&B. The Commodores (She's a Brick House), Ohio Players, Temptations, Kool and The Gang, O'Jay's, Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind and Fire, and Teddy Pendergrass were among his favorites. In 1995, Horace and Cynthia McClary became the proud parents of Zhandrea Arielle McClary. Zhandrea has always been the sparkle in Horace's eyes. He was especially proud of Zhandrea's personal, academic, and career accomplishments. Horace's radiant smile was what people noticed first about him. He was also known to talk with everyone he met with incredible ease and to hold the most fun and entertaining conversations. If he was passionate about something, everybody heard about it. And, what did he talk about most? His daughter and music. We all loved him just the way he was. Horace is predeceased by his mother Margaret Louise Revell, his father Horace Revell, his brother William Revell, and his baby brother Anthony Revell. Horace is lovingly survived by his "One and Only" daughter, Zhandrea Arielle McClary and 5 Sisters: Valena Terrell, Leona Moss, Angelinn Revell-Dennis, Malikah (Unita J.) Bahar, and Rhonda Scott. He is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends.
