I only met Holly once, in Chicago, 1975. Holly was the daughter of my grandfather's brother. We had taken the AMTRAK from Oakland to Chicago as an exciting start for a family trip to Europe. But first, we met up with the Welches in Chicago at the Palmer House Hilton. I always remembered Holly, because she wrote many kind notes to us subsequently, even though we hadn't had another opportunity to meet. All The Best and RIP, Tim W. Santa Cruz CA

Erica & John, There is a large void in the heart of every person that called Holly their friend and it nothing compared to the what you two are feeling. Holly was such a special and gifted woman (although she never thought of herself like that) - I loved her and feel very Blessed that she touched my life; she will be missed but not forgotten. Thoughts, love and prayers to both of you.

I am so saddened that my loving gentle friend has passed from this life. I am also relieved that she is no longer in pain and her body is now perfect. Few of us can claim to have hundreds...she could. Erica and John you are in my thoughts and prayers

I am so deeply sorry to hear that Holly is no longer with us. I worked with Holly many years ago and have always admired her intelligence, sincerity, kindness and empathy. My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones.
