Dear Helen, it is with such sadness & shock, that I learned of your passing. I had the privilege of knowing you for only a short time, when I worked as the school cook in early 2000s. What a warm hearted, caring compassionate, dedicated and fun person you were. We had many chats during my time there and you always spoke so proudly of your family & how much they meant to you. You will be so missed by all who knew you. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to your dear family. Goodnight and God bless you, may you rest in peace. Thank you for the times we shared xx

Who could ever have imagined the year ahead when you became Jacksons teacher? When covid struck not only did you agree to him following his own interests in learning but you actively encouraged him. You took the extra time to lovingly read, comment on and praise every single thing he posted on Seesaw. And it was so often with proud reference to your own family including your pets. Your genuine interest in the details of a craft he had done, so as you could pass it on to Katie and she could try it with Jack and Matthew, made Jackson so proud of his work and gave our family a year together that we will treasure forever. He still has his Roman Villa here and was longing to show it to you. When Jackson lost his Grandad in lockdown, sat in a starlit field in England, by our campfire, on the night of his funeral he told you that he had just chosen a star and named it after his grandad and now every time he looked at the stars he would remember which one it was. You thought that this was such a lovely idea and you were going to tell Katie about it because you said that Matthew often talked about "Bumpa in the sky". Next time we look at the stars we will wonder which one is yours x

So saddened and shocked to be writing this Helen . We worked together for over 20 years and during that time we shared many ups and downs and laughter and tears together ! My favourite memory of you Helen is when you arranged the Pet’s Assembly! It was a truly memorable afternoon. The school hall was full of dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs with even a couple of ponies waiting outside ! The staff enjoyed, I think the animals enjoyed and most of all the children loved it ! It was a special afternoon never to be forgotten. Diolch ! Most of all ,however, I remember you as a family girl , you adored your family and always spoke ofthem all Trevor , Katie, Dan , Matthew and Jack with such warmth and love! You always took time to ask me about my family and I appreciated your concern and interest. I truly hope that as you have been unwell this last year , it gave you the opportunity to spend more precious time with with your beloved family . Sending deepest condolences to all of Helen’s family and friends xxx

Stunned to hear of this very sad news. Helen, you taught both my children Carensa and George when we moved to the area. You helped the children settle in and adapt to a new school and ensured that they made good friends. I remember being late one day picking up George from.school and you patiently waited behind promising him fish and chips with hot chocolate for tea . I think George was secretly hoping I wasn't going to turn up! I enjoyed working along side you on the governing body and always respected what you had to say and you always presented the teachers perspective at the heart of all your comments. Im sure you will be sadly missed by the whole community. May you rest in peace.
