How did you meet Harriet?
I’m saddened to hear Harriet has passed. Though I have not spoken to her in more than 30 years, I have thought of her many times over that time. She was sweet and welcoming to me when I could imagine (and have now been on the other side of the situation) a boy coming to visit a daughter in your home didn’t really have to be welcomed. My world feels diminished knowing that she is not in it.

I worked with Harriet when she lived in Colorado Springs, and was married to Terry Smith. She was the best editor I ever had and a dear friend. /she suffered too many losses in her life but always kept an optimistic outlook. Hugs to her girls! She loved you all so much.

I am saddened to hear of Harriet's passing. Her daughter; Veronica was a dear friend of mine during my teenage years. Harriet and Terry were such great parents and I admired them very much. Much love and prayers to the family.
