Gregory Louis Heiden

Gregory Louis Heiden, born on November 16, 1961, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away on December 7, 2024, in Redmond, Oregon. Gregory spent many years in Redmond, where he cherished the natural beauty of the area and built a life rooted in his love for the outdoors. A graduate of West Ottawa High School in 1980, he carried his hardworking spirit into a career as an equipment operator and truck driver, roles that highlighted his dedication and skill.

Beyond his professional life, Gregory found solace and joy in nature. An avid hunter and fisherman, he embraced the tranquility and connection to the world around him through these pursuits. He also enjoyed golfing with friends, a pastime that brought him relaxation and strengthened bonds of camaraderie.

Gregory is survived by his mother, Lillian Patricia (McLain) Heiden; his brother, Jeffery Heiden; his ex-wife, Cynthia Heiden; cousins Stewart Shaw and Laurie Peterson of Kalamazoo, Michigan; stepson Carlos Berber Jr. and wife Shauntay, kids Dominic and Alyana of Nampa, Idaho. Gregory was also blessed with enduring friendships with Mike Black and wife Staci; Scott Stanley and wife Theresa; Ed Carmack and partner Stacia. He was preceded in death by his father, Roderick Louis Heiden.

Gregory’s deep appreciation for the outdoors and his hardworking nature will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.
